When I first heard about hydrogen generators for cars and hydrogen car kits, I thought that people were talking about some futuristic gadget or rocket car, perhaps from the latest science fiction blockbuster at the movies. I never believed that it would be possible to run cars on water which is what these gas mileage devices are claimed to do.

But it seems that hydrogen generators for cars are nothing new and the technology has been around for some time. In fact I found out that these hydrogen car kits are widely available and at a price that almost everyone can afford. The prices seem to range between $100-$150 and are very easily installed as most of them come with a full guide to show you how.

So just what are these hydrogen car kits?
Basically in very simple terms what they consist of is a small container of water to which is added a catalyst, such as baking soda, and some stainless steel plates. This is then connected to your cars battery to supply a small amount of electricity. When all these components are put together in the proper way what you end up with is a small hydrogen generator.

Once this system is installed and up and running it is possible to extract hydrogen oxygen (HHO) also known as a brown gas by the use of electrolysis. This is a process were electricity is used to change water into HHO. As water is made up of hydrogen and oxygen this process separates the two hydrogen atoms from the oxygen atom, basically converting the water into two flammable gases.

This HHO gas is then taken into the airflow on the intake manifold of your engine were it is mixed with the ordinary gasoline from your fuel tank. This mixture is then burnt in your engine in the usual way, but as it burns more efficiently and cleanly, it gives you better performance, more power and a huge saving in the amount of gasoline used.

Along with the fantastic gas mileage improvements that you get with these hydrogen car kits there are many other advantages. You get a cleaner burning fuel which will help to remove carbon deposits in your engine and prevent further build up. You will prolong the life of your engine and so save on mechanics bills. And one of the best of all is that this system produces considerably less harmful exhaust emissions, so helping to reduce the green house gases that cause global warming.

So with all these advantages of hydrogen generators for cars and with the actual hydrogen car kits so readily available and at such a great price, it is possible to run cars on water. I really think that water fueled cars are the way ahead. With the rocketing price of oil, and the cost of gas at the pumps going up on an almost weekly basis we really should be doing all we can to make gas mileage improvements for ourselves.
And if we are helping the environment by using cleaner burning fuels then so much the better. So do the planet a favour and save cash at the same time and find out more about water fueled cars for yourself.

The University of Waterloo in Toronto, Ontario, Canada has recently been in the news for making a hydrogen-powered car. The team consisted of students, they created the car as part of the final year of the Challenge X. Challenge X is a competition that lasts for three years that challenged seventeen teams to re-engineer a GMC Equinox, the most recent challenge ended in 2007.

The team at the University of Waterloo is known as the Alternative fuels team. The group of students showcased their re-engineered car at Direct Energy Center at Exhibition Place in Toronto. The team was the first to create this alternative fuel car and it is all due to their cutting edge technology. The car basically runs on water and emits no fumes; in fact the end result is water. This makes the car very environmentally friendly, and by using water to power it’s engine high gas prices my soon be a thing of the past.

The University of Waterloo is the only University that was chosen outside of the United States. During the designing process the team won eight out of ten of the award categories which in the end put them in first place. Since the teams win they have been trying to interrogate this engine into a Chevrolet Equinox. The Dean of Engineering states that the school and even the entire country is very proud to have the engineering team that they do. His exact words were “This exciting project developed by our students will help keep Canada at the forefront of the automotive industry” and “We are proud of these students’ remarkable accomplishments and wish the team well at the Challenge X competition.”

There are a few major sponsors of the team at the University of Waterloo. The sponsors are General Motors, Natural Resources of Canada, the Government of Ontario, Marathon Technical Services, Hydrogenics, Air Liquide and The U.S. Department of Energy. The team will soon be traveling to a few cities around the United States to show case their car with the rest of the competitors in the Challenge X competition. This is a two-week event that will mark then end of the competition. The teams will compete in many events and are required to give oral presentations about their projects.

Because of the Challenge X competition the next generation of engineers will be able to have superior knowledge for the automotive technologies of the twenty-first century. It will also ensure that the United States and Canada will be able to stay in the competition that is going on around the world. The competition will also highlight the essentialness of using and driving vehicles that are not as harmful to the environment as a traditional vehicle. Not to mention they are helping to find a solution to one of the world’s major problem, its dependency on oil for just about everything.

Many people do not realize it but humans are the cause of all the global warming warnings and the depletion of the Ozone layer. If they do realize it they just do not seem to care. If everyone would go out and buy or lease a hybrid and get rid of all the traditional vehicles, we may be able to push the destruction of the world back a couple decades if not more. Once the hydrogen run vehicles hit the market, the environment may just be able to repair itself and stop the fear of global warming all together. Just being a little more environmentally conscious could give us all a little more time with this wonderful planet.

Have you ever tried to make your own fuel for your car? Although you might not have thought about making fuel for your car, but this is possible now and you can make fuel within your car for running the car.

Fuel is a substance that reacts with oxygen and produces heat and energy. If we properly utilize that energy for carrying out some form of work, we can say that we are utilizing the energy for producing fruitful results. In conventional gas based car engines, the gas burnt in the presence of oxygen or it reacts with oxygen and forms water, oxides of carbon, sulfur and nitrogen oxides and produces heat and energy. We utilize a part of the energy to run the vehicle.

If you want to make your own fuel within the engine, you can do so by electrolyzing water. Water is made up of two basic constituents hydrogen and oxygen. If we can convert the water back into hydrogen and oxygen, and as we know that hydrogen is an excellent fuel and have highest energy producing potential, it can be reutilized as fuel for running the car.

For electrolyzing water within the car, you need a kit, which will cost you around $100. This kit is available from many sources and you can also try to get it from your local market or you can take help of your mechanic. There are many websites claiming to provide you free information so that you can install the kit yourself, however I would like to suggest you that if you have no mechanical experience, don’t do it yourself. It is better to take help of your mechanic for installing it.

Once you install the electrolyzing kit in your car, you have started making your own fuel that will be utilized by your car for running it. As you know by this time that there are many advantages of running your car on water and the most beneficial advantage is that you will be saving huge money henceforth. So, convert your gas-based car into water-based car as quickly as possible. Install the necessary equipment required for converting water to hydrogen and oxygen and start using hydrogen as fuel for your car.

Are you looking for a real answer of how can I run my car on water? The answer is yes you can run your car on water. A lot of research has already been taken and people can now think of running their car on water. Actually the principal here is very simple, carry out electrolysis process in which you convert the water molecule to hydrogen and oxygen molecules. In electrolysis of water lots of energy is required and you get the final products in gas form i.e. hydrogen and oxygen gases. Now the gases required to be transported to the manifold where these will combine to form water and will release lots of energy. This energy will be used for running your car.

The principle is simple first carry out electrolysis of water and then allows the constituents to combine to form water again. In this process a net energy if released can be utilized for running the car.

There are many fake claims being made at the Internet and you should ensure the genuineness about the website before purchasing any kit from the site. A kit for electrolysis will be required so that you can economically convert water into hydrogen and oxygen.

There are many websites also claiming that you can follow instructions yourself to run your car on water, Even if you have no background in mechanical or electrical engineering, you can do the job yourself. However, if you are a non-technical person, you can take the help of a technical person or mechanic and carry out certain modifications as required so that you can run your car on water.

So, in conclusion electrolysis is an established chemical process and you can convert water into hydrogen and oxygen by this process. Hydrogen is a fuel that has highest calorific value and is one of the best next generation fuel identified by many governments. If it combines with oxygen it will produce water and lots of energy that can be utilized for running your car. If you are able to fix a kit for electrolysis successfully and make necessary modifications in engine design, you can run your car on water.

Very interesting to see how the news media back in the day had early coverage of this technology from day one. Now you will never here anyone speak of where this technology should of been, and where it might be going in the near future. That is why we are on here folks. To keep bringing updates, and improvements, and demonstrating our findings. No longer have to wait for some outside source to provide us with this information. We need the news casters of yesterday speaking for us today. Ok. Ok. Enough with my ranting and raving. Aside from that, there is some interesting tidbits in this documented footage.
Made a hydrogen engine, need help?
Ok, me and my friend developed a prototype for a Hydrogen engine. We are pretty confident it will work, but we are having trouble getting pure hydrogen. we are using electrolysis, but we cant get the hydrogen inside an enclosed container. Basically, we need help harvesting hydrogen.

You’ve probably heard a lot about running your car on water and gas lately. After all, it would be nice to pay half as much to drive just as far. But are there consequences to this new mileage increasing method? Will your engine get torn up? Will your car overheat or sputter on freeway on-ramps?

These are legitimate questions any intelligent person would ask before converting their car. It wouldn’t make much sense to save a wad of cash on fuel only to spend it on repair bills.

Knowing full well that there’s a lot of misinformation out there on how to convert your car, I’ve taken my findings from research along with consumer reviews and compiled a list of conversion guides that actually work. So, does this water and gas conversion work, or are there hidden drawbacks you need to be aware of?

This article is going to answer these questions for you. I’ve spent a considerable amount of time researching and testing the various water and gas conversion methods out there. And I’ll be the first to tell you, pay attention to who you listen to.

I’ve noticed that some conversion plans are easy to follow, inexpensive and above all safely convert your car to run on water and gas. Then, there are the plans that look like they were written by a middle schooler looking to make an extra buck. They’re confusing, unclear, and lack the detail to make the conversion a success.

That’s what I mean by pay attention to who you listen to. But, if you get plans from a reliable source, and follow them carefully here’s what you can expect…

After the conversion, your car will run smoother, have a little bit more pep off the line, run slightly cooler, and of course get about double the fuel economy it used to. As an added benefit your engine will stay cleaner making it last longer.

But this is only true if the install is performed properly. That’s why the plans you or your mechanic follow are so critical. If done correctly it’ll improve your car’s performance and mileage across the board. If done incorrectly, expect problems. Not catastrophic, blow your engine up problems, but just annoying problems like surging and rough running.

Overall, in my opinion converting your car to run on water and gas is a great way to improve performance and more importantly, increase your fuel mileage by almost 100%. If the conversion is done properly you can count on smooth, trouble free running for many years to come. Not to mention, massive savings at the pump.

Knowing full well that there’s a lot of misinformation out there on how to convert your car, I’ve taken my findings from personal testing along with consumer reviews and compiled a list of conversion guides that actually work. You can see this list of proven reliable water and gas conversion guides by clicking here.

Help answer the question about Hydrogen Engine

Hydrogen in the internal combustion engine, and the home?
Why won't the Government sell the use of Hydrogen to subsidize or replace petroleum to fuel the internal combustion engine? It's the most abundant molecule in the universe, with ~3x more BTU value the natural gas, and it produces zero emissions. I recently discovered it can be made on-demand from tap water through electrolyzing.
