Water Powered Cars

Water Powered Cars

Increasing fuel prices is no less than a nightmare. It has really become difficult to own a petrol powered cars with such a heavy rise in fuel prices. Experiments are on various car models to get alternative sources for gasoline. Water is one such result of the experiment done by researchers. Using this source in replacement of gasoline is the best way to heal the ozone and stop the battle with the oil under the sand.

It’s really hard to believe that cars can run on water but some of the stubborn researchers and inventors made it happen. To work the possibility of water as fuel, the inventors used the Faraday’s law of electrolysis to prove their research. This Physics law states “The mass of a substance altered at an electrode during electrolysis is directly proportional to the quantity of electricity transferred at that electrode. Quantity of electricity refers to electrical charge, typically measured in coulombs, and not to electrical current.”

Water powered cars, also known as hydrogen cars and oxygen cars, uses a simple and easy to implement technology. A small portion of the electrical energy from the car engine is taken to convert water into a gas known as HHO. This is a brown gas that has a strong atomic power because of the presence of hydrogen and is believed to be much more efficient than the gasoline engines. Researchers also confirm that one quart of water will produce 1800 gallons of gas, enough for driving the car for the entire month.

The technology is so simple that anyone can convert his car to water power on his own. To get started now, there are certain things that are required, a good water guide and some basic parts. The guide will help to convert the gasoline engine to a water engine. It will also provide the details of the parts required that can be easily available in hardware stores and online retail shops.

Global car manufacturers are now trying to put in this innovative technology to their car engines. Some have already implemented the research but unfortunately there are no such cars in India. There is nothing to worry with that because India will definitely get hold of this as well. If the country has produced the most fuel efficient engines, if the country is working on air cars, if there are innovations and advancements, then water cars is not far. It only requires support from the Government and an established infrastructure to make the debut of water powered cars in India.

This eco-friendly fuel will definitely bring a revolution in the Indian car industry. Hope this technology becomes a reality soon.

I think it's interesting that there is still a ton of hype about water powered cars. First of all, there's no such thing as a "water powered car". Either it runs on straight hydrogen, or it runs on a 2:1 mixture of hydrogen and oxygen. Whether or not your talking about a hydrogen engine or a fuel cell car, people don't seem to realize that you don't just drill a hole and pump out hydrogen. Hydrogen comes from water through electrolysis, requiring electricity. Basically hydrogen is only an energy carrier, much like batteries. In fact, batteries are nearly twice as efficient from power grid to motor, and therefore use less coal/nuclear generated electricity. If you're thinking about the cars that you fill with water with no other energy source, I'm sorry, but such a car would violate at least two of the laws of thermodynamics. If you want all the science behind that, read the wikipedia source. The only (non-validated) car I've seen anywhere that might actually be a "water car" probably also uses some metal hydride in the process.
